UK VAT

Will I be charged VAT on Silver, Platinum and Palladium?

We do not show VAT on our prices because we are based in Guernsey, where there is no such tax on any precious metals. If you ask for items to be delivered to locations outside of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, you will be asked to confirm that you understand that other taxes and disclosures may apply.

Can I pre pay the VAT? 

As you go through the checkout process the default option will be to pre-pay the VAT if your delivery address is recognised as being a jurisdiction we believe VAT is orinarily chargeable.

Storage

Can I Store bullion?

Yes. However, you will have had to complete our client due diligence process. Please see our 'Due Diligence' page for details.

No VAT is payable on any precious metals stored in our Guernsey vault facility.

Placing An Order

How do I know my order is being processed?

When you have confirmed an order, you will recieve an order confirmation by email. If you do not receive a confirmation please contact us.

The order will then be packed and shipped, usually within 3 working days.

Can I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched you will recieve a tracking number by email. You will also be able to find the tracking number on your online account. The tracking number can then be used through either the Royal Mail track and trace system or UPS tracking (depending on the shipping method).

Is there a minimum/maximum order?

No, you can purchase any amount of coins/ bars, although for amounts over £10,000 in any single, or related, transaction(s) you will need to provide 'Due Diligence' ... please see our page on this.

Are there discounts on larger purchases?

Discounts are available for bulk purchases on a lot of the products on the website. You can see the bulk rates by clicking on an individual product where a 'volume discounts' section will appear. 

For orders over £10,000 there are more competitive rates through BULLIONROCK Invest 

Payment

What forms of payment do you accept?

You can pay by debit card or credit card (charges will be levied) using our online order process. You can also pay via bank transfer for deals arranged with us over the telephone or by email.

What currencies do you accept?

We accept payment in Sterling for card payments. We may accept other currencies by agreement for bank transfers - please ask. 

Can I pay in cash?

Unfortunately, owing to the costs involved in processing cash transactions and the increased money laundering risks, we can no longer accept cash for Bullion purchases.

Delivery

Is the bullion insured whilst it is being delivered to me?

All items posted from BullionRock are fully insured until signed for.

Who will deliver my bullion to me?

You can choose between Royal Mail or UPS when you go through the checkout process.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery with Royal Mail usually takes 2-6 working days from Guernsey.

UPS delivery is often next day but can be delayed due to weather and customs clearance. Please note: we do not send items by UPS on Fridays.

What if my delivery does not turn up?

Please allow 10 working days for UK mail and 20 working days for International mail to be delivered with Royal Mail. For UPS deliveries within Europe please allow 3 working days and 5 working days outside of Europe.

If your order does not turn up within these timeframes, please contact us and we can look into the delay with the courier. For orders delayed with Royal Mail we will then submit a claims form through Guernsey Post. We do have to allow up to 10 working days before doing so. Unfortunately the claims process can take up to 1month for UK mail and 2months for International mail. We cannot issue replacements or refunds until the claims process has been concluded.

If the item is found with the postal system it is usually forwarded to the intended recipient.

If the item cannot be found BullionRock are happy to replace the items or refund the amount originally paid but only once confirmation from the claims process has arrived. 

For orders which are confirmed lost by UPS we have to claims through our own insurance which follows a similar process to Royal Mail and will take 2-3 weeks to conclude. Again, until the matter is resolved no replacements or refunds can be issued. 

What are the postage costs?

The postage costs depend on which delivery provider you choose. The costs will be shown to you when you go through the checkout process. Royal Mail deliveries start at around £10 with UPS being more expensive and starting at around £50.

How are orders packaged?

All bullion sent by us is either packaged in small brown boxes or in white jiffy bags. The packages themselves will not have any BullionRock logos, however we do have to stamp a customs form with our address. All orders must be sent with a customs form which states what is inside the package and the value of its contents. These are sealed and will only be read by customs agencies on import.

I live outside of the UK can I order from you?

Orders outside of the UK are sent by Royal Mail International Sign For or UPS. Delivery times can be slightly longer and we have to allow up to 20 working days with Royal Mail. (UPS delivery should be within 5 working days to most areas.)

Collection

Can I collect in person?
Yes, our offices are open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You will be given the choice to collect your bullion as you go through the checkout process and you will asked to collect within 30 days of ordering. Please see our terms and conditions relating to the collection service.

You will be requied to sign a handover form on collection and may be required, if the bullion you are collecting is going to leave the Bailiwick of Guernsey, to complete a cash declaration form

You will be confirming that you understand that importation taxes, VAT and/ or GST may all apply after colleciton and that any such amounts will be your responsibility and liability. 

Buy back

Will you buy back my bullion in the future?
Yes - For amounts under £10,000, we will, subject to a review of the quality and provenance of the assets, buy back bullion at a minimum of 98% of the spot value of the underlying metal.
